Log in to commentI have a parenting question: This week both girls have dance camps with auditions. Thea is doing dual camps and two auditions Friday - and is a pro at the process and no big deal to her. Now what to do with Grace.
Grace has been dancing 12 hours a week with Thea since the middle of June. Reason being enrollment and private lessons dictated that schedule and Grace was like "Oh I can do that too." and did. She is going to a dance camp for the more advanced level - which she has worked hard to get there. However at the start we had said just for "experience" as the lower level didn't have a camp due to vacations etc. The big question is should I have Grace audition - just for experience? The issue is that I have heard that they would like to put Grace in Thea's place on the competition team and Thea is moving up to dance with the 13-18 year olds because of her skill. Grace would be dancing with 7-10 year olds.... and its a hefty schedule. Thea could do it, but she added classes in increments and this would be a huge huge huge jump. I dont want her to be over whelmed and find dance to be a chore. At the same time I don't want her feeling like I am holding her back. Ug
That is a difficult question. I need to think about it. But, first I need to say BRAVO to you & your girls
:) Hi friends! How are you doing this weekend? This is the first weekend all summer I haven't been out to the lake house. Funny my fridge doesn't have much in it. With evening dance camps all week - who buys groceries for more than 3 days? not me!

Best picture ever! Had a great but long 3 show weekend. Saw the best of parenting and worst too... It's bitter sweet being finished with the dance year - 2wks then it starts again. :)

Just having the in-laws over for brunch as we do every year. They come when it's convenient for them (right after church) so they can get it out of the way and leave quickly. Every holiday is such a pain in the ass with them. At least we only have them over for one of them.
@webguyatwork sorry its a PITA. If it makes you feel any better my gold digging SIL has pissed my dad off to defcon 5. So at the dinner table he is going to ask my sister and I what we're doing in our lives -- then ask her if she is going to do anything with hers or just buy plastic unicorns and fuck my brother. LOL Good times!!
Got the kids baskets done. Since we will be out of town I thought less sugar the best. I don't want to duct tape Gracie to her seat.

@lutef1sk yes, Grace goes to public school. LOL After she read it to me I sent her to go read it to her dad. LOL I heard muffin say "Did you pick this book out?" and could tell it was hard for him not to laugh and laugh and laugh too.
Thea reached a dance goal tonight. See how nice and relaxed her hand is after more than 5 minutes of standing like that. :) My tiny dancer!!
Im Gonna learn to do that on ice skates. It's scary. And I'm old and inflexible. My leg does not go that high lol
LOL I like that "on ice skates part" I think you do it without skates first then do it on skates. - I think. She's got moves @pezgrl!
Anyone reading a good book? Getting tired of watching TV recovering and would love a good book idea!
Have you read The Hunger Games yet? I am sure you have, I am the slowest person on earth to read it. ;)
