I have a parenting question: This week both girls have dance camps with auditions. Thea is doing dual camps and two auditions Friday - and is a pro at the process and no big deal to her. Now what to do with Grace.

Grace has been dancing 12 hours a week with Thea since the middle of June. Reason being enrollment and private lessons dictated that schedule and Grace was like "Oh I can do that too." and did. She is going to a dance camp for the more advanced level - which she has worked hard to get there. However at the start we had said just for "experience" as the lower level didn't have a camp due to vacations etc. The big question is should I have Grace audition - just for experience? The issue is that I have heard that they would like to put Grace in Thea's place on the competition team and Thea is moving up to dance with the 13-18 year olds because of her skill. Grace would be dancing with 7-10 year olds.... and its a hefty schedule. Thea could do it, but she added classes in increments and this would be a huge huge huge jump. I dont want her to be over whelmed and find dance to be a chore. At the same time I don't want her feeling like I am holding her back. Ug

That is a difficult question. I need to think about it. But, first I need to say BRAVO to you & your girls

@Srndur I agree not to assume. They were told yesterday that they will be in the companies as said earlier. the lower company has a lot of girls Grace's age and friends in it. Theas... there are many auditioning who didn't do the prereq's and man there is going to be ugly pissed off people about that. It says right on the sign up that you need to have XYZ completed. The other company these girls could dance in is filled with Grace's peeps. Ugh. I so dont want to deal with the in fighting.
