Not a fan. My sister used one with my nephew and loved it but I always refused to use it when I watched him. Never used one with Sophie but she was always on her dads shoulders or in the stroller.
People frown upon you when you tie them to the paper boxes outside a store.
I used one with Boo for a while. It was a life saver. We only used it when we went to places like the zoo or museums, though.
We're going to a Christmas festival tonight and I wanted to be able to give him the freedom of walking without constant anxiety about him running off or something bad happening if I turn my head. Sean won't be going with me so we won't have the second pair of eyes we normally have. I'm going with a girlfriend and her son who is a couple days older than owen. She was thinking about getting one also.
I don't know how you do it with 2 toddlers. Are girls are rowdy as boys? Lynda ' s sophie seems like she has a lot of energy from the things she posts, but I haven't really gotten a sense of your 2, maranda.
I posted the same thing on Facebook and one of my friends made a comment that made me all stabby. She said something about him needing a leash if he's so out of control. Um...she's never met my kid.
And I wouldn't call him out of control. We are going through a challenging time right now, but I feel like it's warranted after what he's been through. The kiddie leash thing would really just be for my own security. I planned on bringing the stroller also. Idk. It kinda feels wrong.
Ultimately, it's whatever you're most comfortable with. I used it in crowded places only. Boo is super friendly and would visit with everyone. I never knew the intentions of others.
Sophie does have a lot of energy but it hasnt ever been so much that I couldn't handle her. As for the lady who made that comment....maybe she needs a punch in the throat.
My Lil G was full of energy and quite adventurous. That's why I watched her, held her hand, or used the stroller.
I managed to never have to use one but every kid is different. Mostly just used a stroller. One of my favorite pictures is of Grace in Jackson Square sitting in her stroller. Wouldn't have looked as good with a leash around her neck (or wherever they go). It's probably a good thing I didn't use a kid leash.
