Mad because he thought I knew who she was and her hubby is here. He worked w her and her hubby years ago. Idgac who she is, I didn't know her and it was totally disrespectful even if I had known her forever!!! It wasn't a full hug, just a half one as we were sitting down, but still. Am I right to be pissed?!
He shoulda introduced her to everyone at the table, and made it clear who you are. She also shoulda acknowledged everyone seeing as she'd interrupted your social gathering. Lack of courtesy on both sides there. Dunno the back story though.
I used to be annoyed when Daniel didn't introduce me to people, then I realized he just doesn't think about it. No ulterior motives, just doesn't think. So I started just sticking my hand out and introducing myself. If it's common for your husband to introduce you and everyone else, I'd be annoyed, but if not, I probably wouldn't think much of it, even it was a woman and a hug, personally. I could make a lot of guesses about her behavior, too, but you are the one that has to decide if it's worth all the fuss over.
The half hug didn't offend me, but her refusal to make eye contact with me, and his forgetfulness to introduce me and the others at the table is what got to me. More her than him bc I purposely tried to get her to look at me by looking right at her. Women know better. He does forget to introduce me a lot and I remind him each time.
