You don't need all the bells and whistles to make great food. I've got pretty much anything you would ever think of ( except a real cutting board) and it just gets in the way.

You just need a knife and a can opener.

you basically need a good sharp knife, a good pot and skillet. I have a ton of kitchen stuff, but I buy them from goodwill, garage sales, ross, and other cheap stores. I've splurged on some more expensive stuff like the dutch oven.
