and it's dirt. She wasn't making anyone else eat it and she didn't throw it at anyone. BD says the conduct mark is alright because it is a social skill she needs to learn. Fine, but a conduct mark? Really?
This was her email to me....ugh, it bugs me! Mrs. Kjelsberg, I wanted to explain Maggie's binder today. Today outside at recess many of the girls kept coming up to me saying that Maggie was eating dirt. I never saw her physically do it, so when I went up and questioned her she gave me that look like Uh oh, and then admits to doing it. I asked her how many times she put dirt in her mouth and she said once but wouldn't tell me why she did it. What I gathered from the friends that she was playing with, was that they were all playing in the dirt and had dug a little hole and put a stick in it and were pretending it was each other's birthday and then they pretended to eat the cake and Maggie picked up the dirt and actually put it in her mouth. I just wanted to let you know the story, I wasn't sure how much Maggie would tell you.
that teacher is seriously lacking the Imagination and Creativity gene. I'd like to tell her to take that stick out of her ass.
My sister and I used to sing, "God made dirt, so dirt don't hurt. So put it in your mouth and let it work." Of course, now that rhyme looks dirtier than ever! I swear we didn't mean it that way!
yeah def. she's also assuming the kid would lie to her mum about it. i'd prolly march up to the school n give her a piece o my mind.
I still say send her with a dirt snack daily & tell the school it's your religious right to eat dirt. Fuckem.
