GeoClique was built by people tired of social networks that turned friendship into a competition. No follower counts. No badge-chasing. No leaderboards. Just your friends, your places, and good times.
From the beginning, GeoClique was driven completely by what its users want. Based on feedback from other social media services, we built a stripped-down service that lets you get right down to talking with friends โ avoiding the unnecessary games and competition found on other social networks.
Your feed wasn't an algorithm. Your posts weren't ranked by engagement. You shared what you wanted, with who you wanted, from wherever you actually were.
GeoClique went offline in December 2020. In 2024, Brian and Chris signed off with a note to the community: "It wasn't about the numbers โ it was about the friends." They promised the archives would never be sold, and left open the door for the site to be rebuilt someday.
That day is today. Your account history, friendships, and posts from the original site are preserved and waiting. Same community, rebuilt from the ground up.
Every post can be public, friends-only, or trusted-only. You control who sees what โ not an algorithm, not an advertiser. We collect what we need to run the site and nothing more.
